Set up Trendhaus

You need a Trendhaus account and an AI assistant that supports custom connectors (Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity). Pick a plan on the pricing page, then connect from your dashboard or follow the steps below. You sign in with your Trendhaus account when you connect. No API key is needed.

1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
2. Click Add custom connector.
3. Name it Trendhaus and paste https://mcp.trendhaus.ai/mcp as the server URL. Leave the OAuth fields empty.
4. Click Add, then Connect, and log in to Trendhaus to approve access.
5. In a chat, make sure Trendhaus is switched on in the tools menu, then ask a question.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector once in the organisation's admin settings; members then connect it themselves.

1. Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT's security settings (one time).
2. Open Settings → Connectors and create a new connector.
3. Name it Trendhaus, paste https://mcp.trendhaus.ai/mcp as the URL and choose OAuth for authentication.
4. Optionally upload the Trendhaus icon, then create the connector and log in to Trendhaus to approve access.

1. Open Account → Connectors and click + Custom connector, then Remote.
2. Paste https://mcp.trendhaus.ai/mcp, set authentication to OAuth and transport to Streamable HTTP.
3. Upload the Trendhaus icon, tick the acknowledgement box and click Add.
4. Click the new connector card and log in to Trendhaus to approve access.

Trendhaus is a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP at https://mcp.trendhaus.ai/mcp. Clients that support OAuth can connect directly. For scripts and clients without OAuth, create an API key in your dashboard and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key>.

Ask the way you would ask a colleague. Your assistant picks the right tools and reads the results for you.

• “What's trending on TikTok in skincare this week, and which trends are still early?”
• “Break down this video: hook, format, sound, and what the comments are asking for. [paste a TikTok link]”
• “What are @competitor and @competitor2 posting this month, and what's working best for them?”
• “Show me hooks that work for fitness creators, with the videos they came from.”
• “Which accounts are using this sound, and how big are they? [paste a sound or video link]”
• “Read the comments on this post and tell me what people want more of.”

Tell Trendhaus your TikTok handle, niche and competitors once (“my handle is @… and I'm in skincare”) and it remembers them, so later answers are about your account.

Four research tools do most of the work:

• Trend Radar: Trends surfacing on TikTok right now, each with an explainer video, how big it is, and whether it's usable for a brand or creator.
• Post Analysis: One video or slideshow broken down scene by scene: hook, on-screen text, sound, editing, views against the creator's usual numbers, and, on request, what the comments ask for.
• Hook Library: Opening lines and visual hooks that are working in a niche, each linked to the video it came from.
• Competitor Pulse: Profile stats and recent posts from the accounts you track, fetched live.

Alongside these are direct lookups your assistant uses when it needs one specific thing: creator profiles and posts, post details, comments and replies, search, sounds and the posts using them, hashtag posts, subtitles and ads. Profile tools (Get My Profile, Update My Profile) store your handle, niche, goals, region and tracked competitors. Check Usage and Plan Status show your remaining actions.

Each research tool run is one action. Searching once and then analysing three posts is four actions. Profile, usage and plan tools are free. Repeating the same request shortly afterwards is usually served from cache at no cost.

• Creator: $19 a month, 500 actions
• Pro: $49 a month, 2,000 actions
• Business: $129 a month, 8,000 actions

Every plan includes every tool. The first 500 subscribers get double the actions for as long as they stay subscribed. Details are on the pricing page.

• “Error occurred during tool execution” in Claude:usually an expired session on the assistant's side. Ask again; if it repeats, disconnect and reconnect Trendhaus or start a new chat.
• A tool is missing: assistants cache the tool list. Disconnect and re-add the connector to load new tools.
• Out of actions:ask “check my Trendhaus usage”, or upgrade in your dashboard. Calls stop cleanly when the balance runs out, and you are never charged extra.
• Some data is missing:every result lists any gaps, for example a source that didn't respond. Your assistant should tell you; ask it to retry or narrow the request.

Trendhaus only reads public TikTok data. It never posts, comments, follows or logs in to your TikTok account. Your assistant's provider receives the results it needs to answer you. See the privacy policy and acceptable use policy.
